Objective
Your quest is to learn the basics of Archery and then to gain as many points as possible on the Field Archery Team Challenge in the Woods to win the golden Arrow!
Challenge
Enjoy the excitement of the Archery Challenge as you practice this ancient sport in the beautiful woodland setting of a Real Celtic Village!
In the morning you will be taught the basic skills and safety rules of target archery, you will learn to use the correct stance and to shoot at fixed paper targets on the Archery Field – just as today's athletes do in the Olympics!
Lunch is served under the Feasting Shelter with a range of options from traditional Hog Roast to cold buffet, all freshly prepared with quality ingredients from local suppliers.
In the afternoon you will experience the excitement of shooting in the woodland with the Field Archery Team Challenge. In this more realistic setting, you will shoot at ten 3D animal targets from Wild Boar to Bear set between trees, in ponds, over mounds and at varying distances around the woods. Just as the Celts did when hunting thousands of years ago with their bows, spears and hounds! You will score points and a Golden Arrow will be awarded to the Champion Clan!
The challenge is suitable for everyone, no previous archery experience needed.
You will be taught by experienced archery instructors, supervised by a NFAS (National Field Archery Society) Archery Coach.

- Sustainable energy is used at the Camp - solar powered green toilet facilities.
The Archery Challenge is real value for money, the programme starts at £75/participant including a cold buffet lunch and refreshments, a tea break and a full day of archery lead by qualified and experienced instructors in the unique setting of Celtic Harmony Camp. The Archery Challenge is ideal for smaller groups, under 25 people.
