Special Needs
A Multi Sensory Approach for Special Needs Groups
Celtic Days
Groups with special needs take part in Celtic days with many short activity sessions concentrating on kinaesthetic, visual and auditory methods of learning. Education Officers are experienced in leading children with a wide range of special needs including autism, EBD and physical disabilities.
Forest School
Forest School programme is particularly beneficial to special needs groups through exploration of a woodland environment through games and small achievable tasks, allowing children’s self-esteem and independence skills to develop. Forest School programme is tailored to children’s mood, abilities and learning styles.

Forest School
Discover the Excitement of Exploring & Learning in a Woodland Environment
Suitable for all ages and abilities, often children who find the classroom setting challenging will excel at Forest School.
Children spend a half day every week for a minimum of six weeks in the woods lead by Celtic Harmony Forest School Practitioners. The first session of activities takes place in the children’s educational setting such as school playground or playing fields. The successive sessions take place in a woodland close to the school or in the woods at Celtic Harmony Camp.
Games are played and small achievable tasks are set, allowing children’s self-esteem and independence skills to develop. The day is tailored to children’s mood, abilities and learning styles.
